Westover Hills

Following a lengthy vacancy, new ownership opted to renovate and expand the program of this historical estate. A new plaza motor court aesthetically addresses functionality and is surrounded by gardens and a bridged water feature at the entry of the home. Outdoor rooms create space for sculpture, seating, and play in the juxtaposed microclimates of the site. A dramatic new stair and pool dominates one of these spaces, taking advantage of the site’s views and offering access from multiple levels of the residence. Below, the planted hillside is punctuated with sculpture and transversed by a layered stone walk.
