KLABZUBA

Klabzuba Headquarters is sited in downtown Ft. Worth. The focus of the design is the interstitial space between the office building and the parking structure and the urban edge of the office building. The connection between building and parking is treated as a plaza but with a garden approach. The space is bisected by a pedestrian walk, creating distinct active and passive zones for tenants to look upon and find respite. Green screens clad the parking garage making it visually melt into the garden, and create a more intimate space. The urban edge is extended with a rigid line of street trees but is softened for the pedestrian with buffalo grass as the groundcover.
